The Nonprofit Resource Center of Alabama strives to offer its members an ongoing variety of affordable and practical educational programs. Most of our programs are half-day or less in duration, and deal with very defined topics. In 2003, we will introduce a new educational format called "The Virtual Classroom." Conference call services will be combined with advanced delivery of discussed materials to create location-independent educational opportunities for our geographically diverse membership. We will also continue to organize our annual full-day educational event, the Nonprofit Summit. In 2003, the Summit will be on Thursday, May 1 at the Birmingham Sheraton Hotel.

Several years ago, a collaboration of local funders determined that there was a need to provide more than just financial support. The Nonprofit Resource Center of Alabama (NRCA) was established to provide inexpensive training and management assistance services specifically for nonprofits. Today, hundreds of member organizations and thousands of nonprofit executives, staff and volunteers have benefited from NRCA's educational programs, information and referral services, discounted management assistance services and advocacy initiatives. NRCA remains committed to providing more quality (and location independent) member services, while keeping membership dues at a very nominal level. To accomplish this, we need your support.
